WHAT IS WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

: Women Empowerment It rightly means that women should be given equal status with men in the society.

A woman is the only one who has the power to give birth to a new life, so it would be appropriate to call her the goddess of life.

In 1985, for the first time at the 3rd World Conference, the U.N. announced this thinking of women empowerment in front of the world.

The true meaning of women empowerment does not mean suppressing men, but it means gender equality.

What is the need of the values of women empowerment ?

:We celebrate International Women's Day on every 8th March so that we can develop the feeling of equality towards women in the society, but can women be given equal rights by doing so much in reality.

The answer is no.

For this, there should be gender equality in the mind of every man and a feeling of strength in every woman.

Even today, more than 70% of women in India are facing domestic violence.

According to the NCRB report, something wrong happens to a woman every 3 minutes, not only that, every 29 minutes a woman is raped.

To stop all this, it is necessary to promote the thinking of Women Empowerment in the minds of the society.

What does a woman have to endure?

:According to the NCRB report, a woman is raped every 29 minutes.

Every 9 minutes something cruel happens to a woman

Every 77 minutes a woman is killed for dowry, not only this, acid attacks on her are also becoming common.

About 70% of women are victims of domestic violence.

If a girl marries without the consent of the family members, then in northern Isso like Haryana,Punjab, etc,.there are cases of her being killed by her family itself (Honor Killings).

According to the NCRB report in 2011, 8,618 women were killed by their in-laws for not getting dowry.

In such a situation, there is a need to awaken the thinking of Women Empowerment in the society.

What can we do to stop atrocities on women?

:The year 2001 was declared by the Indian government for Women Empowerment, which they named Swashakti, not only this, the government introduced a scheme in the Rajya Sabha on 9 March 2010, according to which 33% seats in Parliament should be reserved for women.

But is that enough? In many parts of North India, girls are killed in their womb.

So what is the use of this reservation when a girl child is not born.

In such a situation, there is a need to create awareness among the people that women are goddesses.

And there is a need to spread the thinking of Women Empowerment.
