One question, how much do you know about Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh.
Do you know that our government does not consider Bhagat Singh as a martyr.
Bhagat Singh, who was born on 28 September 1907 in banga today's Pakistan, was an atheist. He had a feeling of patriotism since childhood. After hearing about people like Mahatma Gandhi and reading their thoughts, a feeling of patriotism was coming in a child.
On April 13, 1919, in Jallianwala Bagh, when bullets were fired at the people revolting peacefully at the behest of the general, the account tells that the next day, 12-year-old Bhagat Singh went there and kept the soil of that place in a bottle. And started worshiping that soil.
Bhagat Singh was very impressed with socialist and Marxism.
He was not only against the oppression on the poor, but due to him the name of H.R.A (HINDUSTAN REPUBLIC ASSOCIATION) was changed to include the word socialist and became H.S.R.A.(Hindustan Socialist Republic Association).
Bhagat Singh always spent maximum time in the library.
He had read about 700 or more books in his lifetime.
When he was arrested and sent to jail for throwing bombs in Parliament, he demanded clean food, books, clean clothes, etc. for all Khadiyo. When their demands were not met, they decided to give up the food. His rebellion lasted 116 days.
Some people believe that they were hanged for dropping bombs in Parliament, but it is not so.
He and his partner Batukeshwar Dutta got life imprisonment i.e. 14 years imprisonment for dropping the bomb.
Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Shukhdev were hanged in the Lahore conspiracy case.
Bhagat Singh believed in humanity so much that he refused to accept the existence of God.
He was not only a revolutionary but also a writer. Bhagat Singh used to write regularly for many magazines and magazines such as Kirti magzine.
Bhagat Singh liked to watch films of Rasgulla and Charlie Chaplin, due to which Chandra Shekar Azad used to get angry on him.
Bhagat Singh's last wish was that he should be punished for death by shooting him.
You must have heard from the people that if Mahatma Gandhi wanted, he could have saved Bhagat Singh but he did not do so but friends it is not so. Even till 23 March 1931, he continued to write letters, but he was only disappointed.
In the evening of 23 March 1931, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Shukhdev were hanged in Lahore jail.
At the age of 23, he gave his life for the revolution and the country.
